Wow, some people at Free Republic really don't like this picture:

That's Michelle Obama. The picture was taken at a house party in New Hampshire, where (as The Washington Post reported) she

praised her husband Monday for having a "moral compass" and contended that quality counts more than the "experience" on which many of his Democratic rivals are basing their campaigns.

Invited to comment on the Post article, and to post captions for this and other photos at the event, the Freepers let loose:

"If it is white - it ain’t right..."

****

She is an angry racial bigot.

****

Do we really need a first lady who talks about how bad she thinks blacks have it in this country?

All this despite the fact that the Post article cites absolutely no discussion of race at the New Hampshire event.

Even though this and two other pictures from the event appear at the top of the thread, this one is re-posted several times -- it clearly freaks the Freepers out. One Freeper eventually posts it next to a photo from a '70s TV show, with the caption

I'm been wondering what Flo from The Jeffersons has been doing lately.

There you go. Michelle Obama is a black woman, and she's not a Republican, so when a look crosses her face that can be construed as stern, she's not a person -- she's Angry Black Woman. And she's Comic Angry Black Woman -- indistinguishable from the archetypal Comic Angry Black Woman of our pop-culture past.

Oh, and she also every other black woman the Freepers don't like:

"Don't interrupt me while I'm channeling Oprah."

****

Yikes, she reminds me of Sherri Palmer.

****

Reminds me of that Kinney,McKinney or whatever that Ga. Rep’s name is. Especially the first photo.

Well, they all look alike, don't they?
