I just heard Bush on TV telling a crowd at a campaign appearance that at the debate tomorrow he's going to say, "We're not going back to the era of tax and spend."
Oh, please, George. Please tell me you're going to say that tomorrow night.
"Is the president referring to the last time we had a Democrat in the White House -- when we balanced the budget for the first time in a generation, and created more than twenty million new jobs? Is that what he doesn't want to go back to?"
And so on.
And the thing is, it's obvious that Kerry can respond that way, and still I think Bush is going to hand him the opportunity to say it.
